What time is Semi-Detached on?

Semi-Detached is on at 10pm, August 20 on BBC Two.

There are six episodes in total, which you can catch up with on BBC iPlayer.

Each episode runs for less than half an hour.

In 2019 a pilot of the show ran which did well with viewers, and that recently was aired again too.

Lee Mack often stars in sitcom shows like Not Going Out, but unusually for him he isn't behind the writing for Semi-Detached.

What is it about?

Lee Mack plays failing wedding DJ, Stu.

The show follows his trials and tribulations, particularly as his girlfriend goes into labor in the first episode.

The sitcom plays out in real-time, making for some uncomfortable yet hilarious moments.

Who is in the cast with Lee Mack?

Alongside Lee Mack, whose face you'll know from Not Going Out and Would I Lie To You?, Ellie White stars playing Stu's girlfriend.

Neil Fitzmaurice and Geoff McGivern feature in the show, and you'll recognise them both from Peep Show.

Samantha Spiro, most recently known for Sex Education, plays Stu's ex-wife.

Chew Gum's Sarah Hoare plays a teenage daughter and Sherlock's Clive Russell has a role as Stu's friend.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Lee revealed he was originally consulted only to look over the script, rather than take on its lead character.

Then he "begged for the part" after falling in love with the writing.

Lee shared that he'd be keen to do another series, saying: "I mean I desperately want to know what happens next because, we’re not going to give anything away but it’s left with you feeling ‘Oh my God what’s going to happen next at the end of the series."
