THE Crown fans claim they’re ‘sexually confused’ by Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher in the trailer for season four.

Netflix have dropped a teaser for the upcoming fourth series and viewers may now have a crush on the actress playing the former Prime Minister.

The Sex Education star made a very quick cameo in the short clip, which teased Princess Diana (Emma Corrin) and Prince Charles' (Josh O’Connor) iconic wedding.

Despite barely featuring in the clip, fans are already enamoured with the actress and couldn't control themselves on social media.

One fan said: "Gillian Anderson playing Margaret Thatcher is really messing up my brain."

Another penned: "Never thought I'd say this but I think I'm going to fancy Margaret Thatcher in The Crown x"

A third fan yelled: "NO I CANT BE THIRSTING OVER MARGARET THATCHER PLEASE GILLIAN ANDERSON PLEASE".

While another viewer asked: "Has Gillian Anderson ever successfully been not sexy? Trying to reassure myself that I won’t be gay for Thatcher.";

After the announcement came that The Fall star Gillian would be featuring in The Crown, the 52-year-old how excited she was to play the first-ever female Prime Minister of Britain.

She revealed: "I am so excited to be joining the cast and crew of The Crown and to have the opportunity to portray such a complicated and controversial woman.

"Thatcher was undoubtedly formidable but I am relishing exploring beneath the surface, and dare I say, falling in love with the icon, who whether loved or despised, defined an era."

Gillian, 51, plays sex therapist Jean on the hit show and revealed some of the perks of the job.

She told the : "I’ve been sent more vibrators than I ever have, which isn’t a bad thing."
