Emmerdale spoilers: Cara Robinson returning to try and stop Nate throwing his life away for Belle Dingle
CARA Robinson is to make a shock return to Emmerdale to stop son Nate from going to prison.
The businesswoman - who is played by actress Carryl Thomas in the ITV soap - first made her appearance in January when she ran drunk farmer Moira Barton over.
She was disgusted that her son Nate had destroyed Moira in his revenge plan on dad Cain Dingle, and admitted Cain never knew about Nate's existence.
Cara tried to force Nate to leave the village - and she ultimately failed, and later made a comeback.
She met his new love Tracy Metcalfe but was distinctly unimpressed and again tried to get him to leave the village.
Now in a surprising twist it will be Tracy who brings Cara back to the village to help save Nate.
With Nate set to confess to the hit and run to save his aunt Belle from years in prison - Tracy summons Cara to the village.
Actor Jurell Carter told The Sun Online: "I don't know how long Cara is back for, but with the whole situation of Nate taking the rap for Belle, Tracy gets involved and wants to do the best she can to prevent that. She calls for Cara's help.
"Cara comes back to the village in the hope of changing Nate's mind.
"For how long who knows, but she's going to be making an appearance. That's amazing for me."
