Adult Material fans stunned as they recognise popular Game of Thrones actor playing porn star mum’s boyfriend

ADULT Material viewers were left reeling after spotting a familiar face from Game of Thrones in the Channel 4 drama.

The show has made a big impression on audiences since hitting screens earlier this month with its franks, no-holds-barred take on the porn industry.

However, as viewers watched adult star mum Jolene Dollar (Hayley Squire) kickstart her career, they were distracted by the appearance of actor Jon Dempsie, who plays her boyfriend Rich.

Dempsie captured Game of Thrones fans' hearts as famously well-endowed blacksmith Gendry.

The loveable squire famously impressed Westeros' ladies of the night so much that they opted not to charge him for their services.

As Rich, Desmpie looks decidedly different, rocking a full beard and moustache - but that didn't stop fans from taking to Twitter in surprise.

"Wait, Gendry is in Adult Material now? I always knew he was a hustler," one user joked.

"I knew I recognised Rich - he was in Game of Thrones! First thing I've seen him in since," a second remarked.

"Damn Gendry be looking different with that tache," a third quipped, alongside a crying laughing emoji.

While a fourth joked: "First Arya and now Jolene, Gendry gets around!"

Dempsie previously spoke about his time of Adult Material, explaining the smaller scale of the scenes made the energy on set more intimate.

"I think as an actor, there are certain… I wouldn't say responsibilities, but there are certain side-effects of being in a show like Game of Thrones that can sometimes be hard to get your head around," he told .

"There are certain aspects of doing the job that can be quite intimidating just due to the sheer scale of it, and the number of people that are present on set when you are doing it," he went on.

"But as an acting challenge, as with Game of Thrones, you're a small cog in a ginormous machine, which is great, in some ways.
