The Crown’s Olivia Colman promises ‘bitterness and jealousy’ from queen as season 4 exposes ‘coldness’ of royal family
THE Crown's Olivia Colman has promised "bitterness and jealousy" from The Queen in season 4.
The royal drama's new series is set to be released on Netflix next month, and the award-winning actress told fans what from they can expect from the Head of State.

Series four of The Crown will follow the Royal Family through the decade of the 1980s.
Olivia, 46, reprises her role as The Queen, this time with more gray at her temples and becoming even more impatient.
Colman enjoys playing her role and told fans what they can expect from her character in series four.
She explained: "It’s nice to play a little bit of bitterness, a little bit of jealousy."
Emma Corrin, 24, who has joined the cast for the new batch of episodes as the beloved Princess Diana, explained how the show will portray the coldness Diana felt when she was part of the Royal Family.
She told : "The coldness, the traditions, and the expectations of behavior…I don’t think she expected that.
“I think she expected to join a family.” As for the situation today, the actress sees some similarities.
Emma added: “You just want to shake these tabloids and say, can’t you see history repeating itself?”

Corrin praised Olivia for her ability to flick the switch and channel the role of The Queen when on set.
She shared: "Obviously, Olivia is the biggest ray of sunshine ever,” Corrin says. That is, until the director yelled, “Action!”
The former Grantchester star added with a nervous laugh: "She just went stone cold horrible, it was so hard to not take it personally."
The 1980s was a transitional decade, largely due to the influence of Princess Diana and also Margaret Thatcher becoming Prime Minister, who will be played by The Fall's Gillian Anderson on The Crown.
