Truth Seekers star Malcolm McDowell talks ghost-hunting and haunted houses ahead of new Amazon Prime horror
MALCOLM McDowell says he would love to ‘meet a Ghost’ as he heaped praise on his new Amazon Prime series Truth Seekers.
The actor is set to star as Richard, the aging father of Gus, played by Nick Frost.
Due to the supernatural sci-fi nature of the show, Malcolm, 77, responded to whether he has ever experienced a paranormal phenomenon in his life, to which he gave a hilarious response.
He joked: “Unfortunately not, I wish I could give you a great example.
“I’d been in haunted houses when I lived in England but the truth is, I never saw any ghosts or anything, I was always rather disappointed.
“I’d love to meet a ghost, that would be great, I’d welcome it.”
The former Entourage star was full of high praise for his latest project, saying it is unlike anything on TV at the moment.
He gushed: “It’s sort of a geeky story but in a very charming way, I can’t think of another show that’s anything like this.”
He praised the rest of the cast which is led by Nick who he described as a “wonderful comedian and wonderful character” and “a lot of fun to work with.”
He added: “The cast is really fantastic I think, they did a great job with it, I’m very happy with it and I’m just happy to be a part of it, I loved it, I enjoyed it.”

Truth Seekers mixes humour with fear as a team of part-time paranormal investigators join forces to discover and record ghosts they spot around the UK.
However, the longer their investigation goes on and the more they visit spooky places, supernatural experiences become more common as a result.
What’s even worse is that they become more frightening and even deadly, especially as they dig deeper into a conspiracy that could throw the universe into complete chaos.
Malcolm added that the show also focuses on a group of introverted individuals who are stepping out of their comfort zone by coming together to get to the bottom of a very combustible situation.
He shared: “It is lonely people who are challenged in some way, they’re strange let’s face it.”
Catch Truth Seekers on Amazon Prime from October 30, 2020.
