NEW MOVIE Halloween Kills has dropped a terrifying trailer – and fans “already can’t sleep” as serial killer Michael Myers is out yet again for revenge.
A little taste of what the latest offering in the iconic horror movie franchise has to offer arrived just in time for the annual spooky season, revealing a first look at two characters returning from the original film.
Halloween Kills has been delayed until October 2021 but director David Gordon Green has at least given some hints about what can be expected.
Speaking to Total Film, he said: “If the first film was somewhat retelling the origin of Myers and getting us up to speed with where Laurie had been all those years, then part two is about the outrage of Haddonfield.
“Mob Rules was our working title for the film. It's about a community that is united by outrage, and divided in how to deal with evil.”
The latest instalment sees Anthony Michael Hall take over the role of Tommy Doyle, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards reprise her role as Lindsey Wallace, one of the two children Laurie Strode [Jamie Lee Curtis] was babysitting on the night of Michael Myers' 1978 killing spree.
Now adults, Tommy and Lindsey end up getting in the way of Michael's and his murderous plot once again as he returns to finish off Laurie once and for all.
The eerie trailer opens with a creepy pumpkin and Laurie’s voice speaking over the scenes.
She warms ominously: “Next Halloween, when the sun sets and someone is alone.”
Crazy killer Michael definitely looks a bit worse for wear – the years have not been kind to him.

He’s now donning a half-melted mask (in reference to the fire he survived in the 2018 chapter) as he crashes around Haddonfield in search of victims to satisfy his cravings.
Fans of the franchise rushed to YouTube to watch the trailer with many gushing they couldn't wait to see the new movie.
"I don't think I've ever been more pumped for a horror sequel," wrote one, while another declared the trailer had already "given them nightmares".
Halloween Kills is set to be released in cinemas on October 15, 2021.
