STRICTLY has seen another celebrity leave the competition.
The semi-final saw an eighth star waltz off the famous dance floor.
Who left Strictly Come Dancing last night?
Ranvir Singh become the latest celebrity to leave the show after performing a romantic Waltz with partner Giovanni Pernice.
Ranvir paid heartfelt tribute to Giovanni as she bowed out of the competition, with romance rumours circling the pair for weeks.
She told host Tess Daly: "I’m just really sorry for him [Gio], he’s worked so hard and been in so many finals that I’m really sorry I couldn’t do it for you. Sorry.
"We’ve had some really fantastic memorable moments and I know I couldn’t have got this far without you."
Who was in the bottom two?
Ranvir and Giovanni and found themselves in the dance off against Jamie Laing and his partner, Karen Hauer.
After both couples had danced a second time the judges delivered their verdicts.
Craig Revel Horwood said: "Well one of course did an explosive fabulous Salsa, the other couple did a dreamy delicious, gorgeous waltz.
"I think both couples couldn’t have danced those dances better than they did tonight, it was incredible and I want to see both of you in the final. I’d like to save Jamie and Karen."
Motsi argued: "Well this was really one tough decision, we had two beautiful dances, two beautiful human beings and I will save Ranvir and Giovanni."
Casting the deciding vote, Shirley Ballas got visibly emotional as she told the stars: ";This is very difficult because I’ve grown to love both couples. I’m getting quite emotional now. Musicality, determination, conviction from both teams, they just gave their all.
"But I just feel that one couple had a little more determination, a little bit more: ‘I’m not leaving without that trophy’ and with that in mind I’m saving Jamie and Karen."
Who has left Strictly so far?
Strictly will return on Saturday for one last time to find out who will be crowned 2020 champion.
So far seven celebrities have been booted off Strictly:
- Week Eight - TV presenter Ranvir Singh
- Week Seven - Invictus gold medallist JJ Chalmers
- Week Six - Radio star Clara Amfo
- Week Five - Actress Caroline Quentin
- Week Four - The Wanted star Max George
- Week Three - American football player Jason Bell
- Week Two - Former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith
Olympic boxing hero Nicola Adams had to withdraw from the show after her dance partner, Katya Jones, tested positive for coronavirus.
The boxer has also been banned from appearing in the 2021 series and the Strictly Christmas Special.
When is the Strictly final?
Strictly returns on Saturday (December 19, 2020) for the grand final.
