It ended on quite the cliffhanger, with lead Lyra (Dafne Keen) heartbroken after her father Lord Asriel (James McAvoy) sacrificed her best friend to form a bridge between worlds.
Keen spoke to The Sun's TV Mag about returning to set for the season 2 - and teased a more jaded, wounded Lyra.

Will resides in the world akin to ours, full of modern technology and without the existence of daemons.
The pair meeting will set in a motion a clash between worlds that brings the Gyptians, Magisterium and even Witches into an era of bloodshed, in keeping with the books.
