Netflix’s The Crown blasted as ‘absolute rubbish’ by royals expert over Prince Philip affair plot
NETFLIX'S The Crown has been blasted as 'absolute rubbish' by a royal expert over its Prince Philip affair plot.
In season two of the hit show, it was implied that Prince Philip - played by Matt Smith at the time - may have had an affair with Russian ballerina Galina Ulanova in the 1950s.

Queen Elizabeth (Claire Foy) is seen finding a picture of Galina in her husband's bag as he prepares for a five-month royal tour.
However, Royal biographer Ingrid Seward has now shot down any speculation Prince Philip was unfaithful during a chat with podcast Royally Obsessed.
When asked what The Crown had got right and wrong, Ingrid replied: "Prince Philip is so upright. He has that military stance. So Matt Smith got it all wrong in the Crown.
"He was always bent over, and looks like he is being told off all the time. They got his look and mannerisms all wrong."
She continued: "There was a story about a ballerina that he was supposed to have had an affair with but that was absolute rubbish.
"But The Crown is not a documentary. You have to allow some poetic licence."
While Ingrid was unimpressed by the things she believes creator Peter Morgan and his team got wrong, it won't stop her from watching the upcoming fourth season.
It will introduce Princess Diana to the Royal Family, and Ingrid said: "I'm looking forward to seeing Prince Phillip's relationship with Diana and how they play that out in the fourth season."

Emma Corrin will play the young Diana, and the series will explore her relationship and marriage to Prince Charles, played by Josh O'Connor.
Of playing Diana, Emma told The Graham Norton Show last week: "There was an immense pressure because she was so adored and because there is this sense from everyone almost of ownership, like they knew her, so I went into it with a huge sense of pressure.”
Season four of The Crown premieres on November 15 on Netflix, while seasons 1-3 are available now.
