First look at action-packed new space drama Intergalactic – but will it take on The Mandalorian and Doctor Who?
SKY has offered fans of space dramas the first look at its new action-packed series Intergalactic.
The Sky One series tells the story of fearless young cop and galactic pilot, Ash Harper who has her glittering career ripped away from her after being wrongly convicted of a treasonous crime and exiled to a distant prison colony.
But on the way there, Ash’s fellow convicts stage a mutiny and seize control of their prison transfer ship.
With the flight crew dead, mob leader Tula Quik, is intent on reaching the free world – Arcadia – with her gang; and Ash is the only pilot who can get them there.
Ash is forced to join them on the run towards a distant galaxy and an uncertain future.
From the fringes of outer space to the depths of human emotion, Intergalactic is a drama set in space, but with its feet firmly on the ground.
Savannah Steyn plays Ash, while Top Boy's Sharon Duncan-Brewster plays mob leader Tula.
The cast also includes Poldark's Eleanor Tomlinson, This is England's Thomas Turgoose and Peaky Blinders' Natasha O’Keeffe.
Intergalactic has been written by award-winning showrunner, Julie Gearey and imagines life ‘off-earth’, much like Disney+ series The Mandalorian and BBC sci-fi hit, Doctor Who.
Eleanor previously said of her role on the show: “I’m very excited to be jumping years into the future to take on the role of Candy, the drug mule from the planet Skov.

"Now that’s not something you hear every day! I’ve long been a fan of Thomas Turgoose and not to mention the formidable Kieron Hawkes at the helm of Julie Gearey’s scripts."
Referring to her role in hit period drama Poldark, she added: "But most importantly, there’s not a corset in sight!”
Meanwhile Savannah said: “I’m so excited to be taking on the role of Ash Harper, it’s an honour and an amazing learning experience to be acting alongside such an incredibly talented cast.
"I’m humbled to be acting under the direction of such a wonderful team and am loving every moment of the experience.”
Intergalactic will air on Sky One and NOW TV in 2021.
