Strictly’s Katya Jones seen for the first time since coronavirus forced her to quit the show
STRICTLY’s Katya Jones looks glum as she runs errands near her London home following two weeks of isolation.
The Russian pro dancer, 31, was spotted for the first time since testing positive for coronavirus, forcing her to leave the BBC competition.
She was part of the show’s first same sex pairing with former Olympic boxer Nicola Adams, 37.
The pair are due to return to Elstree Studios for one dance together before the competition’s final on December 19.
Speaking about their early elimination, Nicola said: “It was a little frustrating not being able to continue when I’d just got back into the swing of things and felt like I was enjoying the dancing and everything.”
However despite their disappointment, The Sun has revealed how the pair will dance once more – at the show’s finale.
BBC bosses are now planning for the pair to have an extended dance during the final.
A source said yesterday: “Strictly bosses knew as soon as Nicola had to leave that they wanted to do something special for her.
“The rules mean she can’t come back to the show next year but they’re planning to bring her back with Katya for the final.
“And Katya is a much valued professional on the show and is hugely popular.
“This hasn’t affected her place in the Strictly family.”
