Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor blasts top grammar school ‘for damaging her £2million mansion’
CORRIE star Sally Dynevor has hit out at one of the country’s top grammar schools claiming construction work to their building is damaging her £2million mansion.
The 57-year-old, who plays Sally Webster on the ITV soap, has slammed the prestigious Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Gtr Manchester on Twitter.
She says that construction work on site, which runs adjacent to her grand five-bed semi, is causing damage to her home.
She tweeted: “Your building foundation work is causing damage to our house and to our neighbours.
“We’ve contacted you numerous times alerting you to this but after a week we still have had no visit from you or any direct response to our emails.”
Pal Helen Leach commented: “How frustrating! Did they pay for a pre-works survey to be done on your properties?"
But Sally responded: “No but we asked them to.”
The school's sixth form is currently undergoing building work.
Founded in 1910, earlier this year it was named the best state-funded secondary in Real Schools Guide 2020.
Around 1,250 students aged 11 to 18 attend and it’s the biggest single-sex grammar school in England.
Sally is one of Corrie’s longest standing stars, after joining in 1986.
The school did not respond to requests for comment.
