Susanna Reid ‘devastated’ over cancelled exams and school closures as she struggles to home school her kids
SUSANNA Reid today said she is "devastated" over cancelled exams and school closures as she struggles with home schooling her kids.
Susanna, 50, feared there could be a "lost generation" of kids after Boris Johnson ordered schools to shut and a raft of new measures in a bid to drive down surging coronavirus infections caused by the mutant strain.

The Good Morning Britain host, who is a mum of three, admitted she previously found it tough homeschooling her sons Finn, Jack and Sam, during the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking today on Good Morning Britain to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, Susanna said: "So now schools are closed... I mean, I'm devastated by the fact that schools are closed because I think we really are damaging a generation of children."
"It's tough," Sir Keir told her.
But Susanna continued: "I understand why. I struggle with home learning and we have access to resources. How are you going to ensure that the government delivers the laptops and the access to home learning resources that a lot of people don't have?

"Because this is going to open up a gap in attainment - hugely - between private and state schools and within schools themselves."
Sir Keir said he agreed and that that was "exactly the problem".
He said: "We're back in parliament tomorrow, so I'll get my first chance in parliament to press them on this."
Later on GMB, Susanna cornered cabinet minister Michael Gove over cancelled exams.

The GMB host said: "Just to establish, because we need to make this crystal clear, the exams are cancelled this summer but there is likely to be an assessment, so (pupils) should continue studying as far as they possibly can?"
Gove replied: "Yes, absolutely."
Good Morning Britain kicked off today with Piers Morgan raging at the "scandalously bad" government following the latest lockdown news.
He said: "So, just hours after Boris Johnson assured us schools are 'safe' and will stay open, he shuts them all. But only after allowing them to be open for one day so everyone could infect each other & take the virus home to their older relatives.

"This is scandalously bad government."
The presenter then raged at Boris and Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, saying sarcastically: "Here we go, lockdown three.
"All the kids, who we know are the biggest spreaders of the virus, going back for a day. What a brilliant idea by the Prime Minister!"
