The One Show’s Alex Jones gasps in shock as Bridgerton star drops major spoiler during live interview
BRIDGERTON'S Phoebe Dynevor dropped a major spoiler during a live interview on last night's The One Show.
The 25-year-old actress, who plays Daphne Bridgerton in the popular Netflix series, left Alex Jones and Amol Rajan in shock after she spilled the beans about her on-screen romance with Simon Bassett (Regé-Jean Page).
Phoebe - who's real-life mum is Corrie actress Sally Dynevor - appeared on the chat show alongside co-star Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton).
Amol touched upon how much he loves Daphne's relationship with the Duke of Hastings, but as the actress started opening up about the plot, she managed to give too much away.
She told the duo: "I think they can be themselves around each other and I think they are allowed to be themselves around each other...
"And that's what leads to them eventually falling in love even though they may not realise it."
Alex gasped as she shouted back: "They fall in love?! I'm only on episode three!"
Amol shouted: "Phoebe! Let's move on..."
But the Welsh beauty wasn't too fussed about it all and added: "Mind you, it's not surprising. I'll be honest. That Duke, well done."
As viewers will know, the show consists of some pretty raunchy sex scenes between characters and Alex wondered if Phoebe watched the series back by herself to avoid any awkwardness with family.

"I had to watch it with the whole family so I could stand by with a remote and fast forward all the naughty bits.
"So yeah they watched it but I was very much near the control. At all times," she giggled.
And it looks like Phoebe's co-star Rege-Jean sent out a huge message to his family on WhatsApp explaining what they were in for.
But he somehow managed to forget one of his cousins.

The actor recently told Jimmy Fallon: "We missed one of my cousins. She sent me a message that was like, 'I had to make so many tactical cups of tea during the show.'
"She said, 'I came back, and you were still going, so I had to go back and put the kettle back on'."
He went on to add: "So my family are very stimulated and caffeinated at this point, which sounds like a deadly combination."
Bridgerton first hit our screens on Christmas Day and has taken the UK by storm, with 63million households watching it.
