Dancing On Ice WON’T be derailed after Joe-Warren Plant’s shock positive coronavirus test
DANCING ON Ice insiders have insisted “the show will go on” after Joe-Warren Plant quit the show.
The Emmerdale actor, 18, and his professional skating partner Vanessa Bauer got the “shock call” that they both had positive coronavirus test results after rehearsals on Thursday night.
Joe won't be replaced on the show as Dancing On Ice has already used up all of its reserves for the first time in the show's history after a spate of injuries.
Instead the show will go ahead with just seven celebrity contestants left to fill the next six weeks of shows.
A source close to the show told The Sun: “They've been super strict with the protocols and following rules backstage.
“Everyone is tested all the time so it's just a case of sticking to the rules and making it through to the final week.
“Morale is high backstage and everyone wants to make the show work.”
It comes after Billie Faiers was forced to step back from the competition as she suffered a concussion after falling and hitting her head on the ice.
Just weeks before, Denise Van Outen pulled out of the contest as she fractured and dislocated her shoulder in a nasty fall.
Comedian Rufus Hound was then given no choice but to exit the show when he tested positive for coronavirus and was placed in quarantine.
