When is Mayim Bialik hosting Jeopardy?
THE BIG Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik co-hosted Jeopardy! for the first time throughout the remainder of season 38.
After the tragic death of longtime host Alex Trebek, who passed away from stage four pancreatic cancer on November 8, 2020, Bialik and Ken Jennings took over hosting duties.
When did Mayim Bialik host Jeopardy?
Bialik, known for her award-winning role as Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, hosted the remainder of season 38 of Jeopardy!.
Bialik was meant to temporarily host the show. However, she will now be taking over as a permanent host.
Bailik is set to start on February 20, 2023, for the remainder of the 39th season.
Currently, Bialik is starring in “Call Me Kat” on Fox, which she also executive produces.
Now that her hosting duties have been deemed permanent, the actress spoke about her feelings about returning once more.
"It’s overwhelming, but in a really good way," Bialik expressed on an episode of the podcast Inside Jeopardy!.
When starting the show last year, Bailik reflected on what this role would mean to her.
Bialik told : "I think also there's a lot of iconic pressure. When I was looking over some of the scripts, I was thinking, how would Alex [Trebek] say this? And that's probably not who I'm expected to be, Alex Trebek, but in my head, I am Alex Trebek — that's who I want to be.

"It's funny because there are different kinds of smart. Jeopardy! smart is a category that I'm not really," she says.
"I have a specific group of knowledge that I can handle, but I think every single time if I was a contestant, I would forget to phrase the answer as a question," she went on to explain.
"I've been an answer, I think two or three times, which is crazy," she said.
Who are the permanent hosts of Jeopardy!?
On Monday, August 23, 2022, Bialik was announced as the temporary host for the game show following Richards' exit.
However, on July 27, 2022, announced that Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik had signed a deal to become hosts of the show.
The two have split hosting duties. Jennings primarily took over the first half of the season whereas Bialik would take over the second half.
Jennings' last day on the show before his hiatus was February 17, 2023.
Bialik is set to host some of Jeopardy!'s tournaments such as the High School Reunion Tournament.
When does Jeopardy! premiere?
Jeopardy! premiered on September 12, 2022.
