Friends fans get first look at reunion episode set as Monica’s iconic apartment is restored
FRIENDS fans have had their first glimpse at the highly anticipated reunion episode as the set of Monica's apartment is restored.
The set designer from the original series, Greg Grande, has returned in order to perfect the apartment for the new Friends episode.
Original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are expected to come together to film the pilot soon.
It's the first time the hilarious six have been seen since the sitcom came to an end with it's finale episode in 2004.
Designer Greg took to Instagram to share a teaser snap of the set, writing to fans: "Ssssh, something's happening, deja vu... coming alive once again."
It comes as a surprise as the final episode saw Monica and Chandler moving away from the apartment with their children to Westchester County.
The original apartment set was the show's staple, with the majority of scenes taking place there or across the hall in Chandler's place.
David, 54, who played Ross Geller in the sitcom, recently lifted the lid on the filming schedule starting.
Chatting with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM, David shared in March: "Actually, in a little over a month I'm heading out to LA.
"So, finally, I mean, we figured out a way to film it safely and there's going to be a portion of it that we filmed outside because of, you know, for safety protocols."

David also ruled out rumours that Ellen DeGeneres would present the show, saying he could "tell who it is not", which included the talkshow host.
The filming date was originally set for August 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Cast members are yet to share details of what fans can expect in the episode, but Phoebe Buffay actress Lisa Kudrow said there would be "different facets".
It's due to be filmed on the show's original soundstage, Stage 24, at Warner Bros in California.
