Paul was an established British actor known for his work in TV and film.

He played the hilarious dad Martin in Friday Night Dinner between 2011 and 2020, earning critical acclaim for his brilliant performance.

Fans will get to see him appear in a 10th anniversary of the show - alongside co-stars Tamsin Greig, Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal - which will air TONIGHT on Channel 4.

Paul was also known for his work in theatre, nominated for an Olivier award in 2006 and a Tony award three years later.

What was Paul Ritter's cause of death?

Paul passed away on April 5, 2021 after suffering from a brain tumor.

His agent confirmed the actor died at home with his family by his side in a statement.

It read: "It is with great sadness we can confirm that Paul Ritter passed away last night.

"He died peacefully at home with his wife Polly and sons Frank and Noah by his side. He was 54 and had been suffering from a brain tumour.

“Paul was an exceptionally talented actor playing an enormous variety of roles on stage and screen with extraordinary skill. He was fiercely intelligent, kind and very funny. We will miss him greatly."
