OUR Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen has suffered a major set back after making a big decision about her family's future.
The Channel 5 stars will be leaving their much-loved home at Ravenseat Farm after revealing earlier in the series that they had purchased a new farmhouse.
The Shepherdess, 46, along with her husband Clive and nine children will relocate to Anty Johns, in Upper Swaledale.
The family plan to restore the abandoned cottage which has been derelict for several years.
The family updated their fans on the mammoth task and explained that they've already hit a stumbling block.
Unfortunately, their plans to renovate the building have been put on hold as they await planning permission.
During the latest episode which aired earlier this week, they also had problems accessing water as the property is miles away from the main water supply.
However, they were luckily able to resolve this issue after they tracked down a natural source of water close to the property, which could be connected to the house.
Despite the property requiring plenty of TLC, including revamping the interiors and exteriors.
The family gave their fans a glimpse of the neglected farmhouse, with a collapsed roof, boarded windows and overgrown acres of land.
Amanda and her family may also have to wait a little longer to fully get stuck into the task ahead.
Building specialist Steven Calvert expressed safety concerns surrounding the building.
He said: "There's no power, no water supply and no electric. We'll need to find a spring."
The farming family will continue to live at Ravenseat Farm, which has been their home for the past 20 years.
Although it's a huge challenge, the family decided that it was the right time to buy their own farmhouse after renting long-term.
During the episode, they discovered distinctive historic features etched into the walls of the the building.
Amanda shared a snap, writing: "I really like the 100-year-old weather report".
She took a pic of a red wall with the initials "JS", followed "1922, snowing!"
