Love Island bosses BAN filtered photos from audition process as ITV line up islanders for summer series

LOVE Island bosses have banned filtered photos from the audition process as ITV line up islanders for the summer series.

The ITV2 dating show is still set to go ahead this summer, but auditions were forced online due to Covid regulations.

However, The Sun can reveal Love Island bosses are demanding unfiltered photos be submitted if potential islanders want to be considered.

As part of the application, ITV bosses ask people upload a one minute video explaining "why you think you would make a great Islander!"

It is also asking for a headshot, full length photo, and three option photos - all of which need to be unfiltered.

For both of these, they've added a warning in capital letters reading: "PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY FILTERS (E.G. SNAPCHAT FILTERS)".

The potential Islanders are also asked a series of questions, including how long their last relationship was and the reason they broke up.

They are also asked to write a dating profile for themselves, and include descriptions of how their friends and family describe them.

Love Island star Anna Vakili confirmed to The Sun that auditions for the 2021 series are currently ongoing.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, 30-year-old Anna insisted that fans have been messaging her on social media to get advice for their upcoming auditions.

The brunette beauty shot to fame in the 2019 series of the show, which was won by her pal Amber Gill.

She told us: "I’ve had a few DMs from people within the last month saying, ‘Oh I’m going for an interview for Love Island. Have you got any advice?’ It was no-one that I knew, but I just told them to be themselves and wished them luck.

"I took the time to respond because I know how nerve-wrecking that process is, so when I saw a message like that I felt I had to reply – I knew it would help them feel better."

Earlier this month, The Sun showed how the villa looked unrecognisable just weeks before the series went underway.

The famous compound, located on the Spanish Balearic Island of Majorca, has been stripped of its well-loved features from the show - making it unlikely to be the venue for 2021.

The stunning site wasn’t used last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, so will need a lot of work if it is to be TV-ready again.

It is yet to be confirmed if filming will take place there but contracts for this year’s show have Majorca written into them.

A  source previously told us there were back-up options on the table if travel restrictions meant travel to the country were to be off limits.
