He had to then clarify he meant "have a go" at yoga as the crew into erupted into laughter.

The 65-year-old TV presenter is fronting the show alongside Susanna - who he previously co-hosted BBC Breakfast with until she departed for ITV in 2014 - until Wednesday.

He began today's show by revealing he'd only had four hours' sleep after an UberEats delivery showed up after an hour and 55 minutes.

"I was eating 20 minutes after I should have so I'm in a really good mood," Bill said sarcastically.

"Always on the first night back on an early I never sleep properly anyway.

"I got up early and did my yoga. I've always done that. Get the blood flowing, downward dog and all that.

"We can have a go later, Susanna. There's room here in the studio.

"Before we finish on Wednesday, we should have a go on the floor."

Susanna raised her eyebrows and giggled as Bill insisted: "I mean, of yoga... sorry about that.

"We have known each other a long time, but not that well."

Bill and Susanna shared an emotional reunion on GMB in February 2020 when he stepped in for her then-co-host Piers Morgan, who quit the programme earlier this year.

Piers exited the ITV morning show in March following a row over comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

He is being replaced by guest presenters including Adil Ray and Alastair Campbell.
