Inside Hollyoaks real-life couple Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas Speed’s huge new ‘dream’ home
REAL life Hollyoaks couple Rory Douglas Speed and Nadine Mulkerrin have settled in to their new 'dream home' in Liverpool.
The pair - who play Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter on the Channel 4 soap - moved into their dream home in Liverpool after relocating from Cheshire just before Christmas.
Rory and Nadine knew it was "never going to be easy" to move house not only with their one-year-old son, Reggie, in tow but also during a pandemic and right ahead of the holiday season.
"We said yes to the address!!" Nadine revealed on her Instagram early this year as she thanked the estate agents.
"Moving in the middle of a pandemic with a baby before Christmas was never going to be easy... but you guys made it appear so."
The actors have decked out their new home in neutral grey tones with an overall country wooden finish, and opted for statement walls and pieces in every room.
In the dining room, the couple opted for a heavy wooden dining table which sits atop a black and white rug.
Nadine brought along a beloved feature gold mirror from their previous home in Cheshire which perfectly complements the statement pine green wall and vintage floor lamp.
Like many new parents, their living room is jam packed with Reggie's toys and is decorated with light grey curtains, and a matching darker rug.
The walls are decorated with a stunning triptych of gold and navy prints, which match the gold floor lamps perfectly.
Outside, they have been sure to prepare for the warmer summer months with an inflatable wading pool for Reggie.
Before Reggie's arrival, 28-year-old Rory shared a photograph of their incredible jungle-themed nursery on Instagram.
The white room has a spotty feature wall, pictures of safari animals in frames and has even a giant cuddly giraffe standing on the floor.
The loved-up pair got engaged in a December 2018 trip to Amsterdam after dating for just over a year.

Following their engagement, Rory admitted he thought for a moment that the love of his life might actually say no to his proposal.
In an interview with OK! magazine, he said: "It was terrifying. I felt like I was on my knee for an eternity.
"I remember saying: ‘Go on, just say something!'
They welcomed their baby son Reggie in October 2019.
