The Masked Dancer’s song list for tonight revealed as Zip takes on Knickerbocker Glory
THE Masked Dancer is set to start on ITV tonight with new characters Zip and Knickerbocker Glory going head-to-head.
Host Joel Dommett is returning with judges Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross.
All you need to know about The Masked Dancer in tonight’s debut show
A spin-off from The Masked Singer, the show will see 12 famous faces go head to head to deliver their best dance performance.
But they’ll all be doing it while keeping their identities hidden behind extravagant costumes.
Zip dances to Sugarhill Gang and Chic’s ‘Rappers Delight & Good Times’ while Knickerbocker Glory performs to Lady Gaga and Beyoncé hit Telephone.
Next up its Beetroot vs Llama, with Beetroot opting to bring out their best moves to Anne Lennox’s ‘I Put A Spell On You’ while Llama goes for Quincy Jones’s Soul Bossa Nova.
Finally, the last performance of the night sees Viper vs Scarecrow, with Viper performing to Lenny Kravitz’s ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ while Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick’s ‘September’ is Scarecrow’s chosen song.
Both judges and viewers will be left to decipher the clues and work out who’s dancing in disguise until their true identities are finally revealed.
Holly Willoughby, David Walliams and John Bishop will be joining the experts as guest judges throughout the show.
Unlike The Masked Singer, The Masked Dancer is on for one week only, with the first show kicking off tonight, Saturday, May 29 at 7pm on ITV.
It will then air each night for a week, with the second episode airing on Sunday at 7.30pm before a grand final next Saturday.
In tonight’s episode the first six masked dancers take to the stage in an array of glitzy and glam ensembles.
Viewers will have to wait until they very end of the show to find out just who the masked dancers really are.
Ahead of tonight’s show, Oti said she was “thrilled and honoured” to be joining the panel.
She added: “I’m a huge fan of The Masked Singer and I loved the US Masked Dancer so I just can’t wait to start on this show.
“As a dancer I will be watching the dancers intently looking for clues – it’s going to be so much fun!!!”
The Masked Dancer airs on ITV from 7PM on Saturday, 29 May and continues throughout the week.
