GOOD Morning viewers were left outraged this morning as a former Apprentice wannabe revealed she wouldn’t quarantine after going on holiday to an amber country.
Bushra Shaikh, who appeared on the show in 2017, was branded “totally irresponsible” by host Adil Ray during the heated debate.
Currently those going on holiday to a country on the amber list legally most quarantine when returning to the UK, but Bushra insisted she wasn’t going to.
She appeared alongside NHS palliative care doctor, Rachel Clarke, who was also horrified by her comments and pointed out she could spread Covid when she got back.
Adil added: "Your selfishness could cause people to die."
Hitting back, Bushra replied: "Oh give over, it's not selfishness."
Explaining her stance, she said: “As parents and grown ups we all have a responsibility and the rules may not look the same for everyone, so although we are supposed to quarantine for 10 days, I could do a Covid test every single day. I could do certain things to make sure my family and I are not putting anyone at risk after we come back from holiday.”
She added: “We can’t imprison people for this long, we are adults.”
Those watching at home couldn’t believe what they were hearing and took to Twitter to comment on it.
