CAROL Vorderman has revealed she battled long Covid and says she "couldn't walk 100 yards" for MONTHS.

The former Countdown presenter, 60, secretly suffered the virus before lockdown in March last year.

She opened up about the long-term problems while appearing on Good Morning Britain today.

"I got Covid before lockdown, long Covid," Carol told the show.

"You know I'm a walker, so I can go off on a nice little 15-miler today.

"But I couldn't walk 100 yards. Months later I still couldn't walk 100 yards.

"I would be gasping for breath, for probably three months."

When quizzed by host Richard Madeley about how she is 15 months on, Carol added: "I'm fine now."

The Sun exclusively revealed how she had been bombarded with messages from men and women since joining celeb dating app, Raya.

Carol told The Sun she made it clear to potential suitors she wasn’t looking for anything longterm during a brief stint on the app.

She said: “A mate of mine said it would be a laugh. A lot of LA people made contact, men and women funnily enough, but it’s not my scene.

“I’m quite happy with my usual way of doing things. But life is never dull.”

She also confessed the constraints of the coronavirus-imposed UK lockdown had stopped her from ";getting into mischief."

The maths whizz said her usual antics have been ruled off limits thanks to the ongoing stay-at-home Covid curbs.

Speaking on BBC1's Morning Live about how she has been coping alone in lockdown, Carol said: "My mum lived with me for decades, you know I was my mum’s full time carer. I’m very sad she died a few years ago."

She then added with a cheeky smile: "But I don’t have those responsibilities now and I always say I love getting up to mischief which lockdown has put a stop to."
