Chelsea plays with fire next week as she flirts with murderer Gray after being arrested.
She is hauled into the police station for questioning over stolen goods from Ruby Allen and Martin Fowler's home.
Denise and Jack confront Chelsea when they get wind of her arrest, with Jack advising her to get a lawyer and suggesting Gray.
Chelsea agrees but seems more interested in flirting when she meets up with Gray.
Gray - who is played by actor Toby Alexander Smith in the BBC soap - has already killed his wife Chantelle, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.
The actress revealed: "She thinks he is a good-looking guy. He's doing well for himself, so she pursues it.
"She was first turning it on to get a freebie but then there is actually an attraction so she goes with it.
"It's a difficult one because she is attracted to him, obviously, but she wants to make sure that her legal battle is secured.
"When she realises that Gray feels the same, she's not necessarily doing it for the free law advice anymore. There is a spark there and with that comes a few perks which makes the attraction stronger."
The soap star explained that she may fall into Gray's sinister trap before she can turn back.
She continued: "She also sees him as a high flier, someone who is doing well for themselves. To be able to have done well then, he must have done well in the law world.
"She’s that kind of girl. As soon as she puts her mind to something she doesn’t really see it going wrong until it’s gone really wrong."

Zaraah explained that Chelsea helps Gray to forget all about his violent crimes.
She added: "It's not a big case, it's not going to take up much time. And, even though he kind of knows what she's after, she's fun to be around.
"He just gets sucked in to the energy that they've got together. He arrogantly believes he is deserving of bit of fun in his life and that's what Chelsea represents at the beginning. Obviously Chelsea has no clue what Gray is really like."
