Escape to the Chateau’s Dick Strawbridge leaves fans thrilled after making exciting announcement about new series

ESCAPE to the Chateau fans were left rejoicing at the news that the brand new series will air this week.

Dick Strawbridge revealed to fans on the series' official Instagram page that Escape to the Chateau: Make Do And Mend would be making a return on Thursday, June 24.

Dick, 61, shared a photo of himself with wife Angel Adoree, 43, and their two children, Arthur and Dorothy to their 305,000 followers.

The post has attracted more than 17,000 likes and hundreds of comments from Escape to the Chateau fans around the world.

The caption read: "The Strawbridges are back… The wait is over for our UK fans, a brand-new series of Escape To The Chateau: Make Do And Mend has finally arrived and we’re so excited to see Dick and Angel tackle some of the nation’s DIY dilemmas and renovation projects as well as tackling some of their own with the help of Arthur & Dorothy.

"Don’t forget to add the date to your diary… 9pm 24th June on @channel4."

Plenty of American fans shared their excitement with one saying: "Can't wait till it is back in the USA love this show!"

The husband and wife presenting duo have previously excited fans on their Instagram page with what they called a "very exciting announcement."

While some fans were quick to assume that another baby was on its way for the couple, the pair revealed that the news was of a home-improvements link-up with DIY giant Homebase.

Dick and Angel have amassed a huge following of fans through showcasing their renovation of the 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France on their show.
