EastEnders fans devastated as Jean Slater dealt crushing blow – and it spells disaster for daughter Stacey
EASTENDERS fans were left devastated as Jean Slater dealt with a crushing blow tonight.
The cleaner - played by Gillian Wright in the BBC soap - has been missing her daughter Stacey since she was sent to prison after Ruby Allen framed her for losing her baby.

Over the the past few months Ruby (Louisa Lytton) has been spending more time with Jean to make up for what she's done.
After having two miscarriages and being diagnosed with endometriosis, the club owner was convinced she doesn't deserve happiness.
However Jean has been a good friend to Ruby, despite knowing what she's done to her own daughter.
During tonight's instalment of the hit show, Ruby offered Jean a thank you gift for being such a huge support.
After initially being quite frosty with Ruby, the pair went back to Jean's to use the presents that she had bought and so that Ruby could rest after her operation.
The pair had a lovely time as Jean reminisced about the time she tried to make face masks with Stacey (Lacey Turner) when the market trader was a little girl.
And Ruby even opened up a bit about her own mum during the conversation.
Jean thanked Ruby for the face masks and told her that she knows she did everything she could to try and get the charges dropped for her daughter.
However things took a turn for the worst when Jean received a phone call from Stacey in prison.
After she got off the phone, the cleaner said: "Stacey was in a fight... and she's lost all her vistor privelges.
"I'm not allowed to see her anymore. That was the only thing keeping her going and me! I might not ever get to see her again."
Ruby tried to reassure her and said: "No it won't be that long."
Jean snapped back: "How do you know?! You don't lnow how long it'll be. You don't know how long they'll live. If i never get to see her again it'll be your fault.
"You come around here pretending to be nice with your fancy face masks but I know what you're really doing.
"You're guilty. You know you should have never called the police on Stacey and you're trying to make yourself feel better because you put her in there.
"You put her in there."
