Why do the Love Islanders wear sunglasses after waking up?
THE Love Island contestants tend to enjoy the Spanish sun - but sometimes they even wear their sunglasses in bed.
Viewers have wondered why the cast have been taking their sunglasses inside and here's everything you need to know about the unusual routine.
Why do Love Island contestants wear sunglasses in bed?
Love Island contestants have got viewers talking as they're seen wearing sunglasses indoors immediately after rising from their beauty sleep in the morning.
Some have been speculating that the islanders are just hiding their unkempt morning faces from the cameras or simply looking cool first thing.
And there is even a theory that they put on the shades to stop fans noticing wandering eyes.
However, a former contestant on the show has put an end to the speculation by insisting they are worn because of the bright lights in the bedrooms - and because they don't look their best first thing.
Elma Pazar, who featured on Love Island in 2019 as a bombshell, said on Twitter: "The light is so bright when it flicks on and also I don't know many people that wake up pretty in the mornings.

The sunglasses for the 2021 series were provided by BadHero, who were the official sponsor for the glasses for last year's show.
