Steam train derails and plummets off cliff during filming for Mission Impossible

AMAZING scenes show a stream engine derailing and plummeting from a cliff during filming for Mission Impossible. 

The stunning photos were taken on set for Mission Impossible 7 at a disused quarry in the Peak District, Derbyshire.

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, 59, who plays Ethan Hunt in the famous franchise, was reportedly on set as the train went over the edge of the former Darlton Quarry.   

Production on the film began again at the end of last month, after being paused and delayed multiple times due to the Covid pandemic.       

A Peak District photographer, who captured the remarkable moment said: “[Tom’s] helicopter was all black to match his outfit.” 

The actor was later pictured dressed in all-black leaving the helicopter after it had landed, heading into a car. 

Action-packed snaps show a steam train falling off a cliff, with helicopters circling around the track.
