Coronation Street fans horrified by Grace blackmailing the Baileys over baby Glory
CORONATION Street viewers are horrified after Grace Vickers blackmailed Ed and Aggie Bailey to give her a HOUSE to keep seeing their granddaughter.
The office assistant - who is played by actress Kate Spencer in the ITV soap - issued the demand after being dumped by boyfriend Michael Bailey.
Heartbroken Grace decided to move to Hull to take up a job there and take her daughter with her.
Aggie tried to stop her and told her Glory was going nowhere - but Grace stood up to her and told her the only way she would stay is if the couple gave her the house they had just bought.
But before they could answer Michael arrived home and asked his parents to give them time alone.
“He said I have his blessing to leave,” Grace told the couple as she walked into the Rovers to get their answer.
“Let’s just drop the act shall we? I want to go and you want your granddaughter, so it’s a house or I’m off.”
We can’t just give you a house - we’ve got all our money invested in that.
Grace hit back: “You’re also invested in Michael and I’m just about to rip his heart out.”
Aggie was horrified at Grace playing hardball after her own threats to force her to give up Glory had failed.
Grace told her: “It’s not spite - it’s survival. Don’t blame me because I’m fitter than your son.”
Turning back to Ed she gave him a simple choice: “What’s more important to you - your renovation project or your grandchild?
“You’ve got until tomorrow.”
Viewers were completely horrified by her blackmail attempt.
One wrote: "Grab Grace and fling her out the front door! It must be done. #Corrie"
A second joked "Grace randomly turning into the biggest b**ch on the street just because she's been dumped. #CoronationStreet."
Another fumed: "Grace really selling her baby for a damn house...wow Grace what a cow."
