Dawn French posts pic of rarely seen daughter Billie for her 30th birthday and calls her ‘my greatest challenge’
DAWN French delighted fans when she shared very rare photos of daughter Billie Henry on her 30th birthday.
The 63-year-old might be one of the nation's best-loved comedians, but prefers to keep her family life low-key.
The TV favourite, who adopted Billie when she was just two-years-old with ex-husband Lenny Henry, took to social media to mark the special day.
The Vicar of Dibley star shared a sweet photo of Billie as a baby, they tenderly squeezed their faces closed together making up half of the snap.
Dawn penned a loving tribute: "This lil wriggler is 30yrs old today.
"My extraordinary ray. My greatest challenge & greatest blessing. Happy Birthday beautiful girl."
The comic also took to Twitter and posted another photo of her beaming at the camera, while her daughter was faced the other way.
Dawn's celebrity pals were quick to wish Billie a special day, with Emma Barnett posting a heart emoji and Gok Wan commenting: "Happy birthday Billie," with another heart emoji.

Dawn and Billie share a close relationship, earlier this year the actress posted a rare photo of her daughter Billie on Instagram along with a sweet message.
Dawn shared a picture of Billie's lips decorated with a pink heart shape and wrote: "Some lips I love."
Lenny and Dawn have mostly kept their daughter out of the public realm, preferring not to post many photos of Billie on social media.
She has previously described Billie as "the greatest achievement" of her life.
Speaking on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, the star spoke candidly about her fertility struggles and her decision to adopt with former partner Lenny.
She said: "I knew I wanted to definitely be a mother that was a very strong instinct," she shared.
"Then what happened was my body wouldn't let me be a mother and everything kept failing all the time for all sorts of reasons. We had to make a big decision, to put aside IVF and go for adoption."
