In Monday's episode which first aired in 2019, Laura was on the hunt for a home in the Axarquía region.

But viewers were unimpressed by the size of the first property, describing it as a "doll house".

Laura showed them a one-bedroom townhouse for sale in Comares, with two living rooms and an open-plan fitted kitchen.

There was also a double bedroom, family shower room, and a laundry area located upstairs.

It was on the market at €49,900 but Marianne and Anthony were confused about the tiny rooms and lack of windows in the kitchen.

One shocked viewer wrote: "That hovel offended my eyes! I just hope they get better!"

"I’ve seen bigger dollhouses," another joked.

A third mocked: "Jesus wept that’s not small that’s minute."

Another shared: "Hahahaha! Not enough room to swing a mouse, let alone a cat."

Marianne was not happy with the space, saying it was a "bit on the small side", especially if she wanted to add more furniture.

The owners had managed to fit a two-seater sofa, a small round table and two chairs and a couple of shelves into the cramped space.

The couple admitted that the property did not have enough potential for them.

Later on, Marianne and Anthony visited a two-bedroom townhouse in the village of Almachar.

The couple immediately fell in love with the property, with Marianne admitting: "We can’t walk away from this."

Anthony agreed: "My knees are shaking."

They made an offer of £50,000 and it was quickly accepted, leaving the couple one step closer to making their Spanish dream a reality.
