ANT McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have vowed to make I’m A Celebrity worse than ever this year.
The presenting duo won the first prize at tonight’s National Television Awards tonight - The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award and they revealed plans for the upcoming series.
The reality show is returning to Gwrych Castle for a second successive year after the pandemic forced producers to abandon plans to use the usual Australian base.
Speaking after picking up the gong, Ant said: “We are going to try and make it worse for the celebrities this year.”
Jordan North, who appeared on the last series, chimed in: “I’ve spoken with many people from the jungle and I think our series was more sinister. It felt more evil…. I can’t wait to watch it.”
Ant added: “The show lives and dies by how well the celebrities do. We had a really good cast last year. We’re not the ones eating testicles and anuses.
Dec joked: “Not on the telly anyway…”
Ant cotninued: “It’s all down to this lot. They got on, made everyone smile and rush home from work to put the telly on.”
