EASTENDERS fans are convinced they've solved a major fire twist on the show.
As viewers saw one legendary character fighting for his life, they seem to have no qualms about his capability for survival.
The BBC soap showed Phil Mitchell lying on the floor unconscious as a fire rages through his Albert Square home.
The scenes aired last week and saw Janine Butcher also trapped in the house, alongside her daughter Scarlett and Tommy Moon.
Phil was knocked to the ground after an encounter with Shirley Carter while he was in the middle of cooking.
When Janine comes storming in, her focus is getting her runaway daughter Scarlett out of the house, but she wriggles free, leaving her cardigan in Janine's hands.
Frustrated, Janine chucks the cardigan over her shoulder and follows Scarlett and Tommy as they run upstairs.
The trio are totally unaware that Scarlett's cardigan has landed on the lit stove and is filling the kitchen with smoke.
