RHOA star NeNe Leakes looks unrecognizable in new photo just weeks after husband Gregg’s death from cancer
REAL Housewives Of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes unveiled a new look as she "pushes through" after her husband's death.
Nene's husband Gregg lost his battle with cancer on September 1st, and the star revealed she was having "good days and bad days" since his passing.
She showed off a new blonde hairdo and immaculately made up face as she drove home from the salon in Georgia.
Nene explained the drastic transformation came as she tries to adjust to her "new normal."
"I played with brown for a while, and now that I'm adjusting to my new life, my new normal, I thought I'd go back blonde," the reality star explained on her Instagram Stories as she got emotional.
She continued: "I'm trying to keep my mind off.... you know events that happened recently.
"I'm trying to push through with a blonde wig on."
Nene also revealed the trip to the salon did her the world of good.
"I have good days and bad days, they say it's normal, today I felt like going to the salon which is good," she explained.
Nene also posted her new look to her main Instagram page with her fans shocked at her transformation.
"Pushing thru. Thank you @jasmine.dior @gracefulartistry For pampering me always," she captioned the post.
Nene also answered the other reason why she looked so different.
"For those asking, I use the Beautycam app," she said.
A representative for NeNe told E! News at the time: "Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart.
"We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family & allow them to mourn in private during this very, very difficult time."
