Where was Darling Buds of May filmed?

The 90s TV show Darling Buds of May was mainly filmed at a farmhouse, in Berthsden, Kent.

The property, which is near the village of Pluckley, was used as Home Farm when the ITV show filmed there between 1991 and 1993.

The series also used the surrounding rural area as a backdrop for the Larkin family’s adventures, including the nearby Black Horse pub and the Little Chart cricket ground.

The ITV show, which ran for three series, was set in the fifties and was a huge hit in the early nineties, starring David Jason as Pop Larkin (whose catchphrase was "perfick!")/

Pam Ferris played his wife Ma, and in her break-out role, Catherine Zeta-Jones played the couple’s oldest daughter Mariette.

The family lived on a farm in Kent, with Pop Larkin constantly thinking up schemes to make the family’s lives better.
