JOY-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth took advantage of their kids taking a nap to get in a little renovation time on their new mobile home.

The couple gave fans a tour of their RV, which they’ve been fixing up for a couple of months now, to show the progress they’ve been making.

The latest improvement the pair decided to work on was the flooring throughout the vehicle.

To kick things off, asked Austin to explain to followers what kind of material they decided on for the project.

“Well, today we have a vinyl flooring,” he shared. “It’s thin, it’s flexible, it’s easy to lay.”

His wife jumped in to add that, most importantly, it’s “inexpensive.”

Austin agreed, adding that it’s “really inexpensive” but also fairly good quality for its low price.

“It’s going to go great with the slide-out situation that we have going on because it’s not too thick,” the father of two said. “And there’s little-to-no maintenance.”

Joy-Anna cut back in to add: “It’s going to be really nice because you don’t have to worry about it getting wet.

“And it’s an RV so we’re not going super crazy, which is nice.”

After holding up a piece of the flooring to show fans what it looks like, the two got to work on laying it all down, strip by strip.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s daughter documented the process as her husband kneeled on the floor to put it all together.

With some of it down already, she told fans: “Here is the flooring, tell me what y’all think. Ta da!”

She continued: “Okay, of course it’s cheap looking, but that’s because it’s cheap.

“But I think it actually looks pretty good. I think it goes good with the cabinets and everything, pretty simple to put down.

“Not even half a day of working, just a few hours.”

To get all of the vinyl flooring in, Austin had to put the glue down first before he could put the strips on.

“You put the glue down, you let it dry for about an hour,” Joy-Anna shared of the step-by-step journey.

Though, she admitted, they didn’t follow their own directions because they got a little antsy, and the results were proof that they should’ve been more patient.

The mother of two said: “We’ve been waiting for like 20 minutes, which I wouldn’t recommend because it’s kind of bubbling up in some spots because I didn’t push it down hard enough.”

In August, the Counting On alum project to fans.

She and Austin decided to purchase a “2001 freight liner Bounder Class A Motorhome” and renovate it to fit their tastes and needs.

The couple, who share son Gideon and daughter Evelyn, hope to “go on some family trips” once they finish fixing up the vehicle.

The massive RV features a master bedroom, which they plan to fix up with “an accent shiplap wall” by the bed, “to make it feel more homey.”
