You renewed for season four before third series even hits Netflix – but it’s not all good news
Netflix’s You is just one day away from returning for its eagerly anticipated third season, with the streaming service already confirming that a fourth season is coming - but it’s not all good news.
The psychological thriller - which is one of the most-watched shows on the platform - will follow the creepy return of serial killer Joe Goldberg and his strange obsessions with the women he meets.
Ahead of the new season, Netflix has teased fans after posting on its Instagram page to all but confirm that its guilty pleasure hit will be returning for a fourth season.
Revealing that the upcoming episodes won’t be the last, the creepy snap showed a whole lot of bathroom creeping going on alongside the caption: “Us renewing You before season three is even out.”
However, some reviews of You's third chapter are less than impressive, with the storyline said to be "predictable and over-indulging".
After the addition of a new location, a baby, and some interesting new characters, the show’s format has reportedly not changed from the previous.
With that said, you can expect to see the return of Joe’s glass box and his infamous worn-out baseball cap, too.
In the third season, Goldberg - played by Penn Badgley - and Love Quinn-Goldberg - played by Victoria Pedretti - are now married and have a beautiful baby boy, Henry Forty Quinn-Goldberg.

They have become the perfect poster white-picket fenced suburbanite family in Madre Linda, California - or so you’d think, anyway.
The third instalment has decidedly not veered away from its attempts to sympathise with Joe - including a further dive into his traumatic childhood.
The new episodes also afford similar treatment to Love, who pans between victim and villain during the series.
Upon reflection, for a thriller that was previously known for dealing largely in shock value, Joe’s actions are said to wear thin to the point of becoming predictable.

Furthermore, the introduction of real-world commentaries, such as a subplot about anti-vaxxers, is said to feel "clunky and heavy-handed".
For those that happily binged their way through the first two seasons, though, there’s nothing to suggest that you won’t be entertained the same way as before.
The third season of You will drop on Netflix on Friday, October 15.
