Extreme’s Jonathan Goodwin is covered in cuts & bandages in hospital selfie just days after horrific stunt accident
JONATHAN Goodwin shared a selfie from hospital just days after suffering a horrifying stunt accident that nearly killed him.
The America's Got Talent: Extreme star - who suffered multiple broken bones - was covered in cuts and bruises in the photo.
Jonathan, 41, pulled a funny face at the camera while lying in bed in a hospital gown.
The Welsh daredevil's forehead and cheeks were covered in cuts and his wrist and hand were wrapped in bandages.
The stuntman gave fans an update on his condition days after getting slammed between two swinging cars that exploded into a fireball.
The father-of-one wrote in the lengthy caption: "You can’t say you don’t get out what you put in. I've tried my hardest over the years to be kind, thoughtful, honest supportive and good.
"A couple of days ago my life took a complete left turn… and the out pouring of love from all the corners of the world; from people I didn’t even think would know or remember me… has just been astonishing. Truly incredible.
"I will have a lot to say on that matter and the benefits of being kind in the future.. but thank you. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and sent their love and support. It literally has been a lifesaver."
Most read in TV
Jonathan went on: "There are a few people who should not remain nameless. Firstly Tony, stuart and Jenni (not tagged as it seemed in appropriate) Milligan, Joe, Grace, Jane, Helen, mum and dad and simon and danny.
"Then most importantly my fiancé and the best thing to ever happen to me, Amanda. I have been to the very brink and dodged the worst that a human being can, without fear…because I was protected by love.
"Love is all you need, so make sure you get some, cos its good s**t. To death I say nananana boo boo… and to the rest of you… watch this space."
NO MORE STUNTS?
He added that he might leave the "daft" stuntman life behind after the horrific accident.
"There is a long road to recovery and that won’t look like what it did…" Jonathan wrote.
"I may leave the daft s**t alone for a while, but I have a lot left to do in this world. Maybe we can make something good together?"
Last week, the Pembrokeshire native was left suspended in the air between two cars that went swinging towards him in a terrifying stunt.
He was expected to drop down before impact, but instead got sandwiched between the vehicles that immediately exploded upon collision.
HORRIFYING ACCIDENT
Afterward, the TV star dropped another 40 feet and missed the airbag that was positioned to catch his fall.
Jonathan was unresponsive after the horrific incident, leading the AGT: Extreme crew to believe he was dead.
He has been left "riddled with injuries over much of his body" after his nearly fatal accident, reported.
He "suffered multiple broken bones in both of his legs, plus cuts all over his face and burns," according to a police report obtained by the outlet.
The officer who responded to the 911 call said the stuntman "got super lucky," as "he was conscious and alert" after the incident.
The police added that EMTs found Jonathan with "good vital signs" despite the fact he was airlifted from the scene to a nearby hospital.
The father-of-one was sent immediately into surgery, after the horrific incident that was caught on video.
DAREDEVIL
In 2020, Jonathan finished as a semifinalist on AGT and was later invited back for the inaugural season of AGT: Extreme.
The Extreme edition will be hosted by Terry Crews and judged by Nikki Bella, Travis Pastrana, and Simon Cowell.
The daredevil recently announced his engagement to English actress Amanda Abbington, best known for her role as Miss Mardle on Mr. Selfridge.
