But although he's not allowed to confirm his exciting signing, Richard dropped a major clue for Good Morning Britain viewers.

Teased by his co-host Susanna Reid, she asked newsreader Kate today: "I just wondered if there were any rumours about anyone going into the jungle... what advice would you be giving?

Kate replied: "I would advise them to just be themselves, because they are entirely entertaining in their own right.

"I would also advise to enjoy it."

"They said 'first of all Richard if you're asked about going into the Castle, talk about the weather.

"It's remarkably mild weather we're having for this time of year, don't you think?"

Detective Kate teased: "Oh is that because you're worrying abut the weather in the castle?"

Keeping a straight face, Richard replied: "They said if I'm asked supplementary questions like that, I should simply say 'you could say that, but I couldn't possibly comment' or 'I can neither confirm nor deny'."

As the presenters began to move towards a break, Richard revealed: "It is true I have been learning a bit of Welsh."

Susanna looked shocked he'd given away such a big clue, while Kate worriedly asked: "They're not going to drop you are they, because you've given it away?"

"I can neither confirm nor deny," added Richard.
