EastEnders’ Clair Norris used to be ‘mortified’ buying plus-sized clothes as she tells fans ‘size means nothing’
EASTENDERS' Clair Norris has confessed that she used to be "mortified" buying plus-sized clothes, as she told fans: "Size means nothing".
The 23-year-old star shot to fame playing Bernie Taylor in the BBC One soap in 2017, and is currently taking an extended break from the square.
And she gave a rare insight into her personal life on Instagram today as she reflected on her childhood.
The actress took to her Story to thank a plus-sized clothing brand for sending her some items, writing: "As everyone asks about my clothes I thought I'd share for you guys to check them out.
"I'm so glad more companies are catering for us curvy girls and making clothes shopping more enjoyable - younger Clair would be over the moon!"
Clair went on: "PS Younger Clair would also be mortified to be wearing clothes that said Curve or Plus… Now I'm sharing it to thousands of people with not a care as I know there will be other 'young Clairs' out there feeling the same and I want you to know to not be afraid of the label/ size as it means nothing!"
The star has a huge 110k social media following, and regularly leaves her fans shocked with her glam transformation from downtrodden Bernie.
Clair often shares snaps of herself dressed up for nights out, where she looks worlds away from her scruffy Walford alter ego.

Earlier this month, the TV favourite revealed she'd already finished filming her first job after stepping away from EastEnders - where Bernie is acting as a surrogate for Rainie and Stuart Highway.
Speaking about her departure, Clair said at the time: "I think that Bernie is overwhelmed with everything and definitely needs some time away to clear her head. She needs a break. I think it will do her good to get away and take care of herself and the baby for a bit. That's her number one priority.
"We know Bernie will be returning to Walford, but who knows what she will be coming back to? She knows how much this is going to hurt Stuart and Rainie, but Bernie is determined to put the baby first."
