The farmer who lives at Ravenseat in Yorkshire with her husband Clive, 67, and their nine children, admitted that she was unimpressed when she first saw the property.

Amanda often shares snaps from inside her home including photos of the vast farmland space.

The family have often been pictured enjoying meals around their wooden table inside their traditional farmhouse kitchen.

It boasts plenty of rustic features, including low beamed ceilings and oak style windows frames.

Amanda was recently joined by three of her daughters from the family kitchen to appear on ITV's This Morning.

Sharing a sweet photo of the cookery lesson, she wrote: "LIVE COOKING ON TV WITH THREE CHILDREN ! 😬

"Thank you for having us on the programme @thismorning Philip & @hollywilloughby & thanks Geoff on tech making the live link work !🎥.

"Recipes from my new book 📕 out this week.

"The children get hands on with the camera taking some of the photographs in there and also testing out the recipes !

"Many hands make light work or too many cooks spoil the broth ?
👩‍🍳👩‍🍳👩‍🍳🥧🥄. Doesn’t matter, the proof of the pudding is in the eating !😋"

The family can enjoy cosy evenings in front of the fireplace, they also utilise the warm living area to dry their wet clothes on a rail along the ceiling.

Sharing a photo of her kids settling in for a film night, Amanda wrote: "A timely reminder that the weather will improve & the sun shine again. ☀️

"Cosied up to the fire 🔥 after a particularly cold day outside.❄️ Yes they are watching 📺."

The farmer has plenty of outdoor space where they all pitch in to help look after the animals.

It comes after Amanda admitted that her farmhouse was not what she had first expected.

Speaking on Simon Armitage's podcast The Poet Laureate Has Gone to His Shed, Amanda said: "The farm stands at 1350ft above sea level and the land rises up to 1800ft.

"If you picture it in your mind’s eye, I always think Wuthering Heights, it’s very open country, it’s moorland, it’s heather, it’s leaden skies, it’s broad acres, it’s harsh, it’s windy, it’s wet, it’s severe.

“It’s got its own microclimate. Am I selling it to you?”

Simon replied: "I read somewhere that when you first went there, had you gone to buy a ram or something, and you weren’t that impressed.

“I think I remember reading somewhere that you said it had squelchy carpets and smoke on the wall. I think you might have described it as a s*** hole actually.”

With a laugh Amanda said: "Yeah I think s*** hole pretty much covers it. It has improved slightly."

She continued: "The first time I saw it, it was dark, I was walking across a muddy yard into almost what felt like the set of an episode of All Creatures Great and Small, and met Clive.

“That was the very beginning and that was 1996, so a good while ago. Things have changed but things haven’t changed.

“That’s the beauty of the place, time stands still. That is Ravenseat.”

FINAL STRAW

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Amanda is spending nights away from family home amid secret marital rift.

The mum of nine has been spending nights away from the family home while her new book hails the virtues of domestic life.

It is understood the pair want to keep their problems under wraps ahead of publication day tomorrow.

Millions who watch their weekly rural dramas on Channel 5’s hit docuseries Our Yorkshire Farm will have had no idea about their secret marital pain.

Sources say Clive, 66, is “desperate” to repair their relationship while Amanda spends time away from the family home.

The Sun first approached Amanda’s publicist on October 12, enquiring about a possible split — with her living away from the family home in Swaledale.

We were told: “Amanda and Clive have not parted ways and Amanda has not moved out of the family home.”

But on Monday night the former model was pictured at their nearby rental property, while Clive remained at the family residence.

A source added: “Their possible split has become the talk of the village and, with the couple having nine kids, not surprisingly talk has quickly spread through school channels.

"Obviously everyone around them hopes they can work things out, and 21 years of largely happy marriage won’t end up playing out in the divorce courts.”
