Kelly Dodd and husband Rick Leventhal slammed for ‘offensive’ Alec Baldwin Halloween costume after fatal shooting
REAL Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd and her husband Rick Leventhal are being slammed for his choice of Halloween costume.
The former Fox News correspondent, 61 dressed up as a gun-toting Alec Baldwin in a cowboy outfit on the set of Rust.
The controversial costume comes just days after the actor accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the film’s set.
Meanwhile, wife Kelly, 46, who previously announced she that she is 30 percent Native American, dressed as an Indian stereotype.
Rick shared a photo of the couple in costume on Instagram, with the caption: "Kelly celebrated her Native American heritage & I celebrated the great American film actor Alec Baldwin."
But followers were not amused.

One person commented: "Sorry but bad taste. Come on someone lost their life."
Another attacked Kelly, stating: "Really Insensitive, but no one is surprised. She will bring you down wait and see."
A third called it poor taste: "I’m sure you wouldn’t be dressing up like that if it were your daughter that had been shot. Grow up and stop letting Kelly turn you into her puppet. 100% sure that costume was her idea."
As the outcry grew, Rick defended his costume in a statement to , revealing that he is no fan of the Beetlejuice star.
“In no way was I trying to offend anyone, except Alec Baldwin. He’s a jerk and deserves all the heat he’s getting."
Rick told the paper he decided to be Alec at the last minute.
Meanwhile, his reality star wife was busy defending her own costume.
She told Page Six: “People are way too sensitive,I embrace my Native American heritage. I think the fashion is beautiful, and this was a tribute and celebration.”
HOMECOMING HOTTIES
Kelly was just putting another controversy behind her when this one went down.
Last month, she was slammed for posting pics of "huge high school boys." as she shared photos from her 15-year-old daughter Jolie’s homecoming.
On Instagram, Kelly shared a series of videos and photos of Jolie and her friends before they went to their homecoming dance.
Alongside the slides, the RHOC alum wrote: “ homecoming!! These boys are huge they didn’t look like this when I was in HS in 1993!! And I’m not Mary Kay Letourneau !! .”
Shortly after Kelly shared the post, Bravo fans rushed to the comments section to slam the fired TV personality for making the remarks about the teenage boys.
WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY
Back in September, Kelly slammed Bravo boss Andy Cohen, 53, for telling her she is on the “wrong side of history” for making controversial comments about Covid-19.
During an episode of her podcast, Kelly reflected on the Housewives executive producer’s reaction to previous her behavior during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Andy Cohen came after me. Because we had our wedding on 10/10 then filmed the reunion?” Kelly asked as she began the conversation from the September 15 episode of their show.
The Bravo alum continued: “He was like, ‘How dare you go travel and have a wedding in a pandemic? How could you?’
