STRICTLY MYSTERY

Strictly Come Dancing fans left baffled as Bruno Tonioli swerves Christmas special being filmed on December 7

STRICTLY Come Dancing will film its festive special on December 7 – and has just put a call out to fans who want to be in the studio audience.

The show is always pre-recorded and broadcast on Christmas Day.

But it raises further questions over why Bruno Tonioli will not be returning from the US to be a judge on the programme, as was expected.

Travel restrictions during the pandemic meant Bruno having to miss the 2020 and 2021 series.

The Christmas Strictly was potentially going to be filmed in November – the same month America lifted travel restrictions – and meant he would be cutting it fine.

But a December date should have given him plenty of time to return and turf Anton Du Beke out of his seat.
