Amber Gill quits SAS: Who Dares Wins after just 48 hours as Pete Wicks breaks a rib in most brutal series yet
BEING yelled at by producers and forced to strip on camera, then having to share a dorm with strangers.
You’d think after experiencing all that on Love Island, Amber Gill would breeze through SAS: Who Dares Wins . . .
But the reality star handed in her number to the directing staff after just 48 hours.
And she wasn’t alone. I’m also told that Towie's Pete Wicks quit after 24 hours with a broken rib. A source said: “The show bills itself as the hardest thing on telly - and it’s lived up to its reputation once again.
“Amber is by no means a wimp, but just couldn’t hack it any longer. She’s a reality star turned fitness expert and even she couldn’t stay longer than two days. She was gutted but couldn’t carry on.
“Meanwhile, Pete really hurt himself on the course, and had to withdraw on medical grounds. Doing some of the stuff that the directing staff want you to do with a broken rib is just not possible. They both got an early flight home to the UK.”
Those who remain on the show include EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, reality star Ferne McCann and Olympian Dwain Chambers.
This year’s series has moved to Jordan in the Middle East from its usual home on the isle of Raasay, Scotland. At least both Pete and Amber got a bit of sun.

The four-day run starts on Tuesday, with Scarlett Moffatt and Sun columnist and lawyer Rob Rinder.
Other names on the roster – who will be playing to win money for charity – include Jimmy Carr, Meera Syal and Craig Charles.
But hopefully no Coughing Major.

MICAH: I SET GAGS FOR GARY
DURING their playing days, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer were peerless in front of goal.
But Match of the Day co-host Micah Richards says the duo won’t get on the scoresheet with their jokes.
Micah admits he sees his job on the show as setting up gags for the former footballers – because they struggle to be funny in front of the cameras.
Chatting on the Football Daily podcast, the former Aston Villa and Manchester City defender said: “I try to ask them questions to make them come out of themselves, because a lot of people just say ‘oh, Gary and Alan they’ve been really straight, and they’ve got no personality’.”
ROBIN: AXE CHOICE
DAN WALKER’s dismal Couple’s Choice dance landed bottom of the leaderboard last weekend.
But former pro Robin Windsor – who reached the 2012 semi-final – reckons it’s the category itself that is a flop.

The dancer, who is starring in Beauty and The Beast at The Pavilion Theatre, Worthing from November 26, thinks it should be axed. He said: “I hate Couple’s Choice. I think just get the show dance in the final and leave it like that.
“For me, Couple’s Choice is a way out to not have to do some of the other dances that you don’t want to do. I think we want to see more of the actual dances and put that Couple’s Choice in the final.”
