MAFS Australia’s Jessika Power dumps British boyfriend after just 8 days as she joins Celebs Go Dating
MARRIED At First Sight Australia bride Jessika Power dumped her British boyfriend last week - and joined the upcoming season of Celebs Go Dating days later.
The 28-year-old started filming scenes alongside the all-star cast in London last week, and will be introduced as a bombshell intruder.
Jessika split from her Manchester-based love interest, podcaster Connor Thompson, - just 8 after relocating from Down Under to be with him - and was quickly snapped up by producers.
A source tells The Sun Online: “Jess moved to England to pursue things with Connor who she connected with online, further her career and line up more TV work.
“She'd been talking to Connor on Instagram for six months after he slid into her DMs, and after finally meeting in real life in October when she moved to Manchester the spark just wasn't there.
“They spent around 8 days seeing each other before Jess decided to end it because it wasn't the fairytale she'd been dreaming. She then accepted an offer to do Celebs Go Dating because she's still keen to find herself a British boyfriend.”
Celebs Go Dating producers had been desperate to snap a MAFS Oz star up since the show exploded on E4 earlier this year - but border closures proved to be a logistical nightmare.
“Bosses first approached Jess in February but she couldn’t leave Australia. At one point Ines Basic then all but signed on the dotted line but dropped out due to the amount of time she’d have to spend in quarantine.

"Tamara Joy was also in talks but that fizzled out. Jess then deciding to move to the UK just as filming commenced was like fate,” the source added.
“They spared no expense in convincing her to sign up.”
Jessika made waves on MAFS earlier this year after cheating on her husband Mick Gould with their co-star Dan Webb.
But for her appearance on Celebs Go Dating, Jessika has promised she’s going to show viewers her real personality.
Jessika said: “I feel people have a misconception of me being a husband stealing witch but I’m not.
“I am super bubbly, super friendly and I am just like any other girl out there looking for a man.”
She added: “If the agency can’t help me I am done, I will be like a cat lady for the rest of my life.
“I am super excited to be in the UK to find love and I won’t be going home empty handed.”
