NOT TYRA'S FAULT?

DWTS execs blame ‘talent & NOT Tyra Banks’ for season 30’s low ratings despite fans’ demands for host to be fired

EXECUTIVES from Dancing With the Stars are now blaming the "talent and not Tyra Banks" for this season's low ratings despite fans' demands for the host to be axed.

The America's Next Top Model creator has continued to receive plenty of backlash for her hosting ability more than a year after replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

An insider exclusively tells The Sun producers of the ABC program are "too scared" to address the concerning ratings with the "fellow show boss" and Tyra, the latter who is an executive producer.

The source revealed they are putting the low ratings down to "talent and not Tyra," believing that this year's notable contestants did not have the same appeal as past seasons.

A source, close to production, who works with the network, explained: "This has been a testing year certainly with the audience numbers and the fan reactions, but day to day there is a stance of carrying on with the show, making the contestants have their best experiences and not worrying about the numbers."

The insider continued: "The network executives do not engage on this at all, certainly at production level. There is a sense that they do not want to make any comments, because they were the ones to bring in Tyra. And no-one wants to lose face saying out loud there are problems. It doesn't reflect well on their decision.

"So far the only discussion point about the struggles has been that it is the talent pool this year, which has not appealed to audiences - and nothing to do with Tyra.

"No-one is speaking up about all the dramas on a production level, because they love their jobs and the show. They are all doing the best they can, but hope that all the issues will get reviewed at some point."

CHANGING FACES

Back in July, now-former DWTS host Tom broke the news on Twitter that he would not be back in the ballroom for season 29.

confirming the news shortly after, which also revealed that his co-host Erin was also leaving.

The iconic supermodel was named host just one day after Tom and Erin were axed.

Since then, Tyra, 47, has been quite the controversial host, as she has seen backlash for fumbling over her words, asking not-so-engaging questions, making a frequent habit of messing up the script, and more.

The star's outfit decisions have also been ripped, as viewers have accused her of being "extra."
