Hollyoaks under fire as Sarah Jayne Dunn is set for documentary about OnlyFans row with soap

SARAH Jayne Dunn could be back on screens sooner rather than later following her sacking from Hollyoaks.

The 40-year-old has been approached to make a documentary about being forced to choose between her job on the Channel 4 soap and uploading sexy pictures to OnlyFans, The Sun can reveal.

A source said: "Since leaving the soap, Sarah has been offered a lot of work - and been approached by a lot of companies about making a documentary on the whole experience of leaving Hollyoaks and taking control of her own career by launching an OnlyFans account.

"Nothing is confirmed and it's all early stages, but it's something to explore for Sarah."

Earlier this month The Sun revealed that Sarah had been sacked from her £120k-a-year role as Mandy Richardson, a character she's played on and off since 1996, after she refused to quit OnlyFans.

At the time she told us: "I’m disappointed it has come to this, after so many years. I’ve loved being on Hollyoaks and I will miss the amazing cast and crew very much. But I feel like I had to take a stand.

“For me this is about having the right as a woman of 40 years old to decide what is right for me.

“I love photoshoots and I’ve worked hard for my figure. I don’t make a secret of the fact that I get a big boost out of it, and I’m not apologetic for that.

Sarah also opened up about struggling financially during her time on the show, insisting that soap actors are not paid as well as some might think.

She said: "There's a huge misconception that people on TV shows earn huge amounts of money, it just isn't the case.

"People talk about massive six-figure salaries but the reality is that if your character isn't in a big storyline for a while you can end up struggling some months."

But it seems that Sarah is having the laugh laugh now it was revealed she made £500,000 in one week following the axing thanks to her steamy uploads.

And unsurprisingly she was in the mood to celebrate.

Posting a throwback of her on the beach, Sarah told her fans: "We’ve just booked our first family holiday abroad in over two years and I cannot wait to feel the sun on my back, the sand on my toes and the sea on my legs. And to spend some quality time with my little family."
